3VZ Balanced Connecting Rod set
3VZ 1988-1995
Our Connecting Rods are second to none! These rods have been Bead blasted, magnafluxed, checked for length, bend and twist. Once they get that far, we press out the rod bolts, cut the cap, and rod then reinstall NEW OEM bolts and torque ’em to spec while in a rod vice, They are then Honed to size on our Sunnen 1810 auto rod hone in 3 steps while being allowed to cool in between. These rods use press fit piston pins so not much can be done to the small end but we do make sure they are on size.
We ALWAYS replace the bolts in these rods (with genuine Toyota bolts) they are a small 8mm bolts which are prone to stretching or breaking. WHY TAKE THE CHANCE?
