Although Toyota designates the change at September 2003, these parts can be interchanged if the appropriate lower ball joints are used. It’s not uncommon for older vehicles to have upgraded newer parts. It is my responsibility to verify whether my vehicle has the older or newer spindle before placing an order. *The 1st Gen Tundra and Sequoia have two different size steering knuckles. The early years 2000-2004 use a smaller lower ball joint. September 2003 is a split year and 2004-2007 use a larger lower ball joint.

Smaller Lower Ball Joint Knuckles for Early Tundra and Sequoia Years use 10mm bolts with 14mm heads, if still Genuine spec.
Larger Lower Ball Joint Knuckles for Later 1st Gen Tundra and Sequoias use 11mm bolts with 17mm heads, if still Genuine spec.
