These precision-machined transmission press sleeves are designed for safe and effective removal of gears from the main shaft on Toyota manual transmissions. Each sleeve features an exact ID and OD fit to apply pressure in the correct location—preventing gear tooth damage and chipping during disassembly.

Sleeve Details:

Sleeve #1 – 3rd Gear & 3/4 Hub Removal

• W46, W55, W56, W56C, W59 and R Series: Presses against 3rd gear to remove both 3rd gear and the 3/4 synchronizer hub.

Sleeve #2 – 2nd Gear & 1/2 Hub Removal

• W56 and R Series: Presses against 2nd gear to remove 2nd gear and the 1/2 synchronizer hub.

Sleeve #3 – 1st and 2nd Gear Stack Removal

• R Series: Presses against the 1/2 slider to remove 1st gear, main shaft center plate bearing, and 5th gear in one press.

• W Series: Presses against 1st gear to remove 1st gear and the main shaft center plate bearing.

Complete Kit Includes:

• All three sleeves (#1, #2, and #3) for a full rebuild process across W56 and R-series transmissions.
